Barbara Thompson

Barbara Thompson, 80, of Hernando, MS passed away on February 7, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. Barbara was an amazing teacher who taught for 40 plus years. After retiring, Barbara still had the love of teaching, so she continued her passion by tutoring and helping kids succeed. Barbara loved to host family gatherings and organizing game nights. She was a phenomenal cook. One of her favorite things to do was bunko night with her beloved friends. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Thompson Still (Joseph) of Sardis, MS; sons, Bill Thompson (Monica Cortez) of Houston, TX and Fred Thompson (Debbie) of Hernando, MS; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Eason.  Memorials may be sent to Looxahoma Church of Christ where she was a member.
