Dora I. Crawford

Dora I. Crawford, 90, of Bartlett, Tennessee, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 7, 2018 after a long struggle with dementia. Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Crawford, her parents, Henry Young and Lizzie Bradley and her seven siblings. Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Faye Lucas (John) of Roanoke, VA and Carolyn Simonton (Jimmy) of Bartlett, TN; two grandchildren, John Lucas, Jr. (Sonya) of Roanoke, VA and Jeff Simonton (Tammy) of Bartlett, TN; and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth Beilstein (Brian), Zachary Simonton, Savannah Lucas and Aidan Lucas. Dora began her journey of life at Sledge, MS. She attended high school at Sledge where she became an avid basketball player. After marrying Clyde they moved to Memphis, TN where she enjoyed giving her time to helping others as well as working. Dora served as a Pentecostal Minister. She loved sewing, cooking, gardening and making her friendship cakes in the fall for friends and family. The family request that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Foundation.
