Doris Ann Eagle

      Doris Ann Eagle, age 86 of Memphis, TN passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

     Doris had a career that she loved in jewelry sales at Dreifus and Zales in Memphis.  She also enjoyed cake decorating and decorated wedding cakes ranging from three to eight tiers.  She crocheted hundreds of “caps” which she loved to give to young and old at her church- First United Methodist Church of Senatobia, MS.  She also crocheted hundreds of caps that were shipped to a Methodist Missionary Orphanage in Russia.  She loved all of her family very much.  She lived most of her life in Memphis, TN, but resided for the past ten years in Senatobia, MS.

     Doris was born in Memphis, TN on May 27, 1932 to the late James Riley and Nellie Christine Shackelford.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Williams of Memphis, TN and her second husband John Eagle of Memphis, TN.  She had three brothers and one sister.  Her brothers James and Paul Shackelford have preceded her in death.  She is survived by her brother Marvin Shackelford of Memphis, TN and her sister Mary Lois Moffatt of Myrtle, MS.

     Doris was the mother of three sons and had three daughters-in-law, Danny and Carol Williams of Arlington, TN, Dennis and Peggy Williams of Senatobia, MS and the late Curtis Wayne and his widow Terri Eagle of Atwater, CA.

     Doris is survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer Peeples, Shannon Taylor, Amanda Vines and Brian Eagle. 

     Doris is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Natalie and Ethan Taylor, Rebecca, Emily and Laney Vines, and Blake, Mia and Tyler Eagle.
