Lance McDonald, 39, of Coldwater, MS passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024. He loved the outdoors. Lance enjoyed, fishing, camping, kayaking, and target practicing. He also liked to sit and relax after a long day. He is survived by his mother, Dee Marsh McDonald; father, Billy McDonald; grandmother, Jimmie Mae Farrow; brother, James McKinley Spencer, and nephew, Nick Coleman. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bert McKinley Marsh and grandmother, Virginia "Lady" Marsh. 

Gene Smith, 86, of Lake Cormorant, MS passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto. He was a veteran having served in the National Guard. Gene retired from the Commercial Appeal after many years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Clarence Henry Patrick, Jr., 80, of Arkabutla, MS passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024. He was a member of Arkabulta Baptist Church. Clarence Patrick was a simple man who loved God, his family, his friends, and Arkabutla. He loved gardening and giving away tomatoes and other vegetables from his garden to others. Tommy Lynn Murphree, born January 23, 1951, went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2024 surrounded by his family. Tommy was a retired auto body mechanic and ran his own body shop and wrecker service for many years. He loved working with his hands, both on cars and with wood.
