Lee Dell Dowdle

Lee Dell Dowdle, 91, of Senatobia, MS, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Baptist Desoto Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church Senatobia. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Claire Dowdle McClure (Melvin) of Senatobia, MS; son, Thomas David Dowdle (Rita) of Senatobia, MS; niece, Mellie Billingsley; great niece, Rebecca Baker (Jay); grandchildren, Doug McClure (Jill), Rob McClure (Lindsey), Annah Mary Summy (Steve), John David Dowdle (Becky), and Carmen Keen (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Amelia Summy, Walter Summy, Louisa Summy, Owen Dowdle, Blakely Dowdle, Elzy Keen, Paige McClure Nickens (Garrett), Peyton McClure, Micah McClure, Lily McClure, and Hadley McClure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzy Thomas Dowdle and brothers, Claudius Elliott Billingsley, Oscar Hiram Billingsley, and Vernon David Billingsley. 

She was active in her church, First Baptist, where she had taught Sunday school classes, was active in Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) and helped with GA’s. She loved her family and loved sharing her love of art and cultures of other parts of the world with her children and grandchildren. Tenderhearted and compassionate, she chose to respect everyone and so her faith in Jesus was reflected in her life.
