Not only did she serve on various mission trips but also in local ministries throughout her community. Her love of hospitality and service was evident in her service as church hostess, a role in which she proudly served for over 25 years. Continuing her gift of teaching, she also led the JOY Sunday school class for many years. She was a charter member and past president of the Tate County Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. Shirley Ferguson was a dear teacher, servant, and leader to her countless friends and family.
