She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucious Puryear; daughter, Murline Puryear, and parents, Pleas and Aristrachus Reed. She is survived by her sons, Robert Puryear (Janice), Leon Puryear (Judy), Beamus Puryear (Josephine), Cleveland Puryear (Edith), and Calvin Puryear, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
