Betty R. Beard

Betty R. Beard, 91, of Senatobia, MS passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024. Betty spent most of her life in Senatobia where she played basketball at Northwest Mississippi Community College. She worked as a secretary at the Mississippi Forestry Commission for 32 years. Betty enjoyed cross stitching and watching basketball. Above all, Betty loved Jesus and her family. She was a member of Senatobia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Ray Beard; parents, James and Dorothy Rich; sister, Willa Jean Sinquefield, and brothers, James Lewis Rich, Preston Ray Rich, and Wilbur Laverne Rich. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa "Sissy" Aeschliman (Mike), Delia Frazier, and Pam Haraway; son, Tim Beard (Stacy); grandchildren who were more like children, Royce "Chip" Foster and Samantha Edmonson; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
