Bob Goodwin, 84, of Crenshaw, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. He was born on September 10, 1941, to Charles Bryant Goodwin and Hattie Marguerite Branch Goodwin.
Bob was a dedicated Christian and a faithful lifelong member of Crenshaw Baptist Church, where he loved to sing. His faith, family, and church community were central parts of his life.
Bob was a master painter and craftsman, known for the care and skill he put into his work. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and had a sharp mind for words and details. More than anything, Bob loved his family. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather who treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, June Goodwin; his children, Bubba Mayo, Don Mayo, Carla Mabry (Andy), and Deborah Goodwin (Mary Ann); his grandchildren, Chelsea Rowan (Brandon), Michael Mayo (Brittney), Justin Mayo (Ruby), Chase Mabry (Kaylee), Kala Mayo, Corey Mayo, Elliott Mabry (Alyssa), and Shelby Todd (Jory) and 15 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters, Lucy Malone and Martha Sellers; and his brothers, Hal Goodwin and Ronnie Goodwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bryant Goodwin and Hattie Marguerite Branch Goodwin; his siblings, Charles “Charlie” Murray Goodwin, Marvel Ann Goodwin Norton, James Ed Goodwin, Prentis W. Goodwin, and Saanrell Goodwin Fraizer.
