Bonnie Tillman, 85, of Sarah, MS passed away on October 12, 2025, in her home.
Bonnie was born on January 6, 1940, to Veda Pack Davis and Mallie Earl Davis in Stephenville, TX.
She graduated nursing school at the age of 48 at Northwest Community College and began her career as an RN at Senatobia Hospital before retiring at the age of 67.
She was a member of Little Texas Baptist Church and later attended Faith Chapel Holiness Church.
She was affectionately known as Granny and Maw to many. A wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a woman who was loved by everyone she came in contact with and freely gave hugs and red lipstick kisses. She was best known for her cathead biscuits and chocolate syrup made from scratch with love. And of course, NEVER missing her weekly hair appointments.
She is survived by her children, George Yount, Dianne Tillman (Jimmy), Mike Yount (Vickie), Michele O’Neal (Roy); stepchildren, Larry Tillman (Betty), Peggy Hernandez (James), Roy Tillman Jr., Terry Tillman (Tracey); numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Tillman, Sr., her parents, her great grandchildren, Chloe Yount, Ava Yount, Myles Todd; and one sister, Bobbi Lee Williams.
