Byrlie Mae Ashe passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She retired from Carters after over 40 years. Byrlie was a faithful member of Strayhorn Baptist Church as the oldest active member. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a faithful member of the church visitation group. She loved the Lord and if you ever had a conversation with her, she asked if you knew Him. She continued to share Jesus with the people she came into contact with, even in her last days from her hospital bed. Byrlie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Benford Ashe; son, Danny Ray Ashe; parents, Emmitt and Minnie Wilson; brother, Tony Wilson and grandson, Brian Rhea Ashe. She is survived by her son, Sammy B. Ashe (Annette); brother, Edward Wilson of Madison, MS; grandsons, Robert Ashe and Scott Ashe (Heather); great grandsons, Tyler Ashe (Chloe Buchanan), Ben Ashe (Makenzie), Danny Ashe, and Dixon Ashe; great granddaughter, Anna Ashe and granddaughter-in-love Brittany Ashe.
