Dorothy Williams Pope Dickerson

Mrs. Dorothy Dickerson, 98, passed from this life on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Silver Cross Health and Rehab in Brookhaven, Mississippi.  She was born on March 6, 1926, in Memphis, Tennessee to Clifton and Lucille Williams.  

Mrs. Dorothy loved being outdoors.  She greatly enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.  Her love for the Lord and her family was evident throughout her 98 years.  She was known for her laughter, care for the people in her church and community, and her honest candor.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Blair Pope and John Dickerson; daughter, Jean Dodson; son-in-law, Harold Brown; granddaughter, Lauren Pope; great-granddaughter, Selah Boutwell; brothers, Sonny Williams, Randy Williams, Wayne Williams, and sister, Shirley Brown.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sherrie Brown and Catherine Miller (Hugh); son, Eddie Pope (Mandy); brother, Marcus Williams (Anna); sisters, Erlene Brownlee, Mary Rich, and Juanita Crawford (Gerald), and sisters-in-law, June Williams and Gladys Williams. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
