Elaine Jenkins (Mrs. J)

Elaine Jenkins (Mrs. J), 80, of Independence, MS passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto. She was a school teacher for over 33 years at SBEC (Northpoint Christian School). She is survived by her husband, Robert Jenkins; daughter, Laurie Lentz; son, Steven Jenkins; grandchildren, Heather Lentz and Allen Lentz; friend, Frederick Garrett, and grand-dog, Bella. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Jenkins; parents, William and Mary Bowman, and her brothers and sisters. Memorials may be sent to Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a member.
