Emily "Scooter" Nicole Kallaher Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Emily "Scooter" Nicole Kallaher on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Sardis, MS. Emily, who was only 30 years old, fought a brave battle against Shone's Syndrome, a rare congenital heart disease, but unfortunately, succumbed to a heart attack.

Emily's departure has left an immense void in the hearts of her loved ones, including her devoted fiancé, her beloved 3-year-old son, her caring mother, her doting grandmothers, and a wide circle of family and friends who held her dear.

Emily had recently embarked on a promising career as a Realtor in North Mississippi, a milestone that brought her great pride. Despite her short time in the profession, she had already made a lasting impact with her exceptional abilities. It is truly heartbreaking that she was unable to fulfill her true potential.

Beyond her professional achievements, Emily had a deep passion for making a positive impact in her community. She selflessly volunteered at The Cordova Community Center and The VFW, dedicating her time to helping others. As an active member of the Northwest Mississippi Realtor Association, she contributed to the growth and development of her industry. Emily was also a cherished member of Women in Real Estate, a group dedicated to empowering women in the workplace.

Emily's love for life extended to her hobbies and interests. She was an accomplished fisherman, winning three championships and demonstrating her determination and skill on the water. Her compassion for animals was evident in her dedication to saving and caring for them. Emily's kind and nurturing nature shone through her love for animals.

She is survived by her loving mother, Marla Denise Kissick; her devoted fiancé, David Harly Curtis; her beloved daughter, Aly Marie Curtis; her adored son, Thomas Edward William Curtis; her cherished sister, Hallie Ann Ceville Renee Elliot; her dear grandparents, Vanessa "Nessa" Chapman, David Lee Kissick, and Maudi Kallaher, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Patrick Kallaher and her uncle, Brett Brasher.

During this time of immense grief, let us remember Emily for her vibrant spirit, unwavering determination, love for animals, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her. May her memory forever inspire and comfort us.
