Ernest Paul "Ernie" Murphy

Ernest Paul "Ernie" Murphy, 58, of Senatobia, MS passed away June 6, 2023. Ernie was a United States Navy Veteran where he was a pilot rescue swimmer.  He loved break dancing and was always the life of the party.  He loved skateboarding, music, and especially enjoyed making ringtones for everyone.  He enjoyed spending time with kids and making them laugh.  He also had a great love for animals.  He cherished the simple moments in his life.  The thing he most cherished and was best at was being a father.  His favorite moment was when he built the half pipe with his children. He worked in entertainment at Gold Strike Casino, but his greatest achievement was being a father. Ernie always had a heart to help others and offered an amazing gift by being an organ donor.  He attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Melba Murphy and by his brother, Robert Earl “Butch” Murphy, Jr.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Slavica Murphy; daughters, Eboni Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Anastasija "Tasha" Markic of Germantown, TN and Sasha Markic of Oxford, MS; sons, Ernest Paul "E.J." Murphy, Jr, (Amina) of Costa Rica and Forrest Ryan "Buddha" Murphy of Costa Rica; sisters, Kathie Hunter (Tom) of Orem, Utah, Sherry Duncan (Doug) of Highland, Utah and Debbie Murphy of Orem, Utah; 2 grandchildren, Zoe and Bud; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
