Evelyn Janice Burson Bush

Evelyn Janice Burson Bush, 86, of Walls, MS passed away on May 20, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto.

Evelyn was born in Houma, Louisiana, and graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1956. She attended both Nichols State and Memphis State University. After relocating to Memphis, TN, with her family, she worked at Saint Francis Hospital in various support roles.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Carol Smith of Memphis, TN and Karen B. Hoehn of Walls, MS; son, Michael Kent Bush of Memphis, TN; sister, Marianne Vordick (Wayne) of Houma, LA and brothers, Marlon Burson (Sally) of Slidell, LA and Mark Burson of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Kent Bush and parents, Lloyd and Edna Faye Burson. 

She will be deeply missed by her family and will always be remembered as a honest, hard working Christian lady who loved her family and who persevered through difficult times.
