F. Stephen Thomas Obituary

Steve Thomas will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, lived fully, and gave generously to everyone around him. A devoted father and grandfather, Steve loved his children, Wesley (Crystal) and Kristen (Rusty), his grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews with a fierce and unwavering pride that shaped his life.

Steve found joy in the simple and meaningful moments—whether he was hunting in the early morning, casting a line out on the water, rolling balls on a pool table, sliding a puck on a shuffleboard table, or riding his Harley down an open road. He was a true jack of all trades, known especially for his exceptional carpentry work. With skilled hands and a sharp eye for detail, he built not only beautiful things, but also lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know him.

More than his talents, Steve will be remembered for his heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to show up for anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and easygoing nature made him a friend to all who crossed his path.

Steve’s family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him—camping trips filled with laughter, days spent water skiing, long conversations filled with hunting stories, and the countless moments when Steve had everyone smiling with his unforgettable sense of humor and the best jokes around.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Thomas and Annie Lougenia Thomas; brother, William Thomas, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Allan Vanover. He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Hill (Rusty); son, Wesley Thomas (Crystal); siblings, Gail Vanover, Phillip Thomas (Linda), and Jody Thomas (Virginia); grandchildren, Dillin Hill (Kressa), Desirae Franklin (Trey), Karlee Welch (Gavin), Austin Hill (April), Kiara Thomas, Adisyn Hill, and Tallen Thomas; and great grandchildren, Kenzie, Sophia, Amethyst, Mahalia, Rylnn, Beckett, Lavender, Brynlee, Aurora, Bentley.

Though he will be deeply missed, Steve’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
