George T. Underwood

George T. Underwood, 86, of Coldwater, MS, formerly of Jefferson City, TN, passed away on September 10, 2022 at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehab.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann B. Underwood; sons, Bobby Coward and Tommy Coward; step-children, Delores Walley Underwood and Marvin Walley; brother, Thomas Underwood (Ann); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Cannon Underwood, step-sons, Duane Walley and Mike Walley.  George was a veteran of the Navy proudly serving as a chaplain. He was an ordained minister and an active member of Coldwater Baptist Church where he was head of the food pantry. George was also an avid coin collector.
