Gilbert Tracy Powers

Gilbert “Gil” Tracy Powers, 87, of Aberdeen, MS formerly of Tate County, MS passed away March 7, 2023 at his residence. Gil was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He loved to work in his garden and when asked what he wanted, Gil always said “A cool drink and kind words.” He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Powers; parents, Tracy and Pauline Powers; son, Ricky Willhite; brother, Tony Powers; and grandchildren, Chandler Chism and Lance Willhite. He is survived by his sons, Wayne Holloway, Tim Chism, and Ronnie Willhite; sister, Nina Dell Crow; grandchildren, Allen Holloway, Cassy Holloway, and Lacey Wilhite; great grandchildren, Destiny Holloway, Bailey Holloway, and Cooper Holloway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
