Gladys Callicott Newson was born on December 5th, 1951 to the late Louise Watson Callicott and John Virgil. Gladys departed this life on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at her beautiful home as she wished. She was a member of Paradise M.B. Church until death. Gladys loved her flowers and she loved to cook. She enjoyed watching her soap operas and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind 4 children, Julia Newson, Michelle Newson, Larry Newsom and daughter-in-law, Yvette Newson, and Angela Newsom and son-in-law, Larry Black: 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: 2 sisters, Jerline King and Josephine Young; brother, Perry Burton: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a community of friends.
