Hazel Yon, 80, of Southaven, MS passed away August 5, 2026 at her residence. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and spending time with her little dog, FeFe. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Elbert Yon and granddaughter, Candace Marie Fortenberry. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Fortenberry of Hattiesburg, MS; son, Douglas “Chris” Yon (Brooke) of Byhalia, MS; stepdaughter, Tracy Lynn Ferguson of Southaven, MS; nephews, Peewee Davis (Iris) of Byhalia, MS and David Yon (Lisa Ann) of Looxahoma, MS; grandchildren, Hailey Wigington, Chloe Ferguson, Tiffany Sills, Dana Tribble, Alana Manes, and Dustin Tribble; great grandchildren, Jayden Wigington, Beau Harris, Vanessa Wallace, Sutton Sikorski, Korbin Sills, Kohen Sills, and Meredith Sills, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extended a special thank you to her granddaughter, Hailey, for taking such amazing care of her.
