Horace H. Hankins, 82, of Senatobia, MS went on to be with his Lord on December 31, 2021. He was born to Arlo and Maggie Jenkins Hankins on September 28, 1939. Horace was a retired Foundryman and past President of American Foundry Society and Foundrymen of America. He was a board member of Northwest Mississippi Community College Wesley Foundation, Cecil Williamson Evangelist Ministry and Christian World Missions. He was also an assistant Chaplain at the Tate County Jail. Horace was an avid hunter and golfer. He was a member of the Senatobia First United Methodist Church and an active member of Senatobia District UMC, Lay Pastor, Lay Speaker and Disciple Class Leadership Ministry.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Otis R. Hankins and sister, Madeline Krueger. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda K. Hankins; daughters, Liza Harris, Kametria Kirk and Hollie Sanders; grandson, Jarred Jenkins and granddaughters, Stella Sanders and Caroline Sanders.
In lieu of flowers due to severe allergies the family request plants to be sent or memorial donations to Senatobia First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 663, Senatobia, MS 38668 or to Christian World Missions, P.O. Box 985, Starkville, MS 39760-0985.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Senatobia First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the church.
