James Eason Scruggs

James Eason Scruggs, 93, of Independence, MS passed away  October 27, 2025 at his residence.  He was a veteran having served in the Navy. James loved his family dearly and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Clark D. Scruggs (Debbie); grandchildren, Jeremy Scruggs, Christina Wilbanks (Josh), Bart Scruggs (Sydna); 7 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linette F. Scruggs; son, Randy Scruggs; parents, Homer and Orelia Scruggs; sister, Sue Dancy; and brother, Ned Scruggs.
