James "Pete" Sanders

James “Pete” Sanders, 82, of Ripley, MS passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025. He was an evangelist and preached at the Union Mission for many years. Pete loved old cars and the Dallas Cowboys. He was always building something and working with his hands. Pete was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ollie Sanders; son, Nick Sanders (Ashley); stepsons, Keith Cooper (Tina) and Michael Cooper (Shonna); sister, Gladys; brother, Cooter; 2 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth Sanders; son, Gregory Lee Sanders; stepdaughter, Amy Cooper; sisters, Shirley, Patricia, and Carol Jean, and brother, Rufus.
