Jane Hancock

Jane Hancock, 80, of Independence, MS passed away July 17, 2020 at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehab. She was a member of Independence United Methodist Church and was retired from Northwest Mississippi Community College as a nursing instructor, a job she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hancock; parents, James Arnold and Bernice Chamberlin; sister, Jean Dunaway and brother, James Arnold Chamberlin Jr. She is survived by her sons, Will Hancock (Jo Ann) of Independence, MS, Mark Hancock (Diane) of Hernando, MS and Holt Hancock of Washington; brother, Larry Chamberlin (Ann) of Hernando, MS; 5 grandchildren, Christen Gates (Brian), Andrew Hancock, Katie Hancock, Josh Hancock and Lauren Hancock; and 4 great grandchildren.

A drive through celebration of her life, with social distancing, will be held at the Hancock residence, 500 Walhill Rd., Coldwater, MS 38618 on Sunday, July 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
