Jane Ellen Anderson “Janie”, 74, of Helena, AR died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Baddour Memorial Center in Senatobia, MS. Jane had been a long-time resident of Baddour, having lived there for 42 years.
Jane was born March 15, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Sam Wesley Anderson and Juanita Isabel Bittle Anderson “Nita”. She is survived by her brother, Stephen W. Anderson (Carole) of Memphis and three nieces: Dena Anderson Bates (Mark) Florence, AL, Georgia Anderson Cross (Late Newman) Memphis, TN, Stephanie Anderson Durley (Todd) Sugar Land, TX and eleven great nieces and nephews: Stephen Cross (Lane) Birmingham, AL, Carolyn Pashkevich (Dmitriy) Birmingham, AL, Alana Thornton (Christopher) Birmingham, AL, Malaney George (Mason) Memphis, TN, Braylee Kremer (John) New York, NY, Diana Taylor (Cody) Florence, AL, Jackson Cross (Natalie) Birmingham, AL, Hudson Durley (Bonnie) Birmingham, AL, Sam Durley of Sugar Land, TX, John Bates of Memphis, TN, Leland Durley of Sugar Land, TX and other extended family.
Before moving to Baddour, Jane grew up in Helena, AR, where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed horseback riding and her beloved pets. She also enjoyed traveling with her parents. Jane will be remembered for her lively personality and quick wit.
Graveside services will be held May 25, 2023 at Maple Hill Cemetery at 11:00 AM in Helena, AR.
