Janie Beatrice Clanton Dickerson Cope, 88, of Wyatte, MS passed away March 23, 2025 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perrin Dickerson, Sr. and husband, Forrest H. “Pete” Cope; parents, George Wesley and Ruby Byrd Clanton; brothers, Charles Wesley Clanton, Sr. and Roy Donald Clanton; great grandson, Zayden Davis; and nephew, Charles Wesley Clanton, Jr. Janie is survived by her daughters, Wanda Sowell (Jimmy), Phyllis Lutz (David), and Edna Brown (Bubba); sons, Perrin Dickerson (Jacque) and Larry Capps (Dianne); sisters, Allie Weaver, Freda Lester, and Peggy Stegall; brother, Bobby Rufus Clanton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Janie was a member of Looxahoma Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be sent to Cathey Cemetery.
