Jerry “Boo” Roberts, 62, of Independence, MS went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Jerry loved Jesus, his family, his songs, and he absolutely loved the oil field. He was a determined, hard worker. He really enjoyed cooking for everyone; that was his specialty. He loved connecting with family and friends through good food and good music. It made him happy to make others happy.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jeannie Roberts; children, Jeremy (Katie) Roberts, Shelby (Kody) Watson, Tuesdai Roberts, Jade Roberts (Doug Davis), Lacey Roberts, Dusty (Ashleigh) Scruggs, Justin (April) Scruggs, Jesse Alexander (Mikayla Reeder), and Jake Alexander; grandchildren, Hunter Scruggs, Chloe Scruggs, Cheyenne Watson, Mallory Watson, Charlotte Davis, Heath Davis, and Easton Alexander; sisters, Jean Tatum, Billie Faye Roberts, and Donna (David) Schraudt, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Roberts Sullivan; father, Murry Roberts; grandparents, Alma Pennington, Chester and Gladys Roberts; brother-in-law, Buddy Tatum, and granddaughter, Kaleigh Scruggs.
Rest in peace Jerry, AKA... Boo, redneck, and... if you know, you know!
