Jim Taylor

Jim Taylor, 77, of Senatobia, MS passed away July 15, 2023 at his residence. Jim was a veteran having served in the Coast Guard. He was a police officer for the City of Memphis for 26 years and for Northwest Mississippi Community College for 10 years. He loved being able to serve others as a police officer. Jim loved to fish, go camping or anything that had to do with the outdoors. His greatest love was spending time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rita Taylor; daughters, Marcie Taylor Fletcher (Tim) of Tonasket, WA, and Marcie’s mother Ida Taylor, and daughter, Contessia Gilliam (Brian) of Ellis Town, MS; son, John Walter Hardin of Senatobia, MS; and 6 grandchildren, Katrina Fletcher, T.J. Fletcher, Gracie Fletcher, Corson Fletcher, Haley Hardin, and Emma Fay Gilliam. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sybil Taylor.
