Josephine Davis Butler

Josephine Davis Butler, 91, of Senatobia, MS passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024. She worked at Carters as a seamstress for 26 years. Josephine loved reading and talking on the phone. She was always helping others.

She is survived by her daughter, Beulah B. Davis (Samuel) of Memphis, TN; son, William Stanley Butler (Linda) of Senatobia, MS; sisters, Fannie Mae Harris of Waukegan, IL and Minnie Taylor of Chicago, IL; brothers, Ira Davis of Memphis, TN and Joel Davis (Bessie Mae) of Sardis, MS; grandchildren, Christopher Kentrell Butler, Samuel Markel Davis, Jonathan Cantrell Davis, and Shanta Latrice Davis; great grandchildren, Christopher Kai Butler, Aniyah Davis, Jonathan Cantrell Davis, Jr., Malia Davis, Baelee Jones, and Daxton Davis, and special friends, Willie Bass Davis, Mae Catherine Cleveland, Betty Lockett, Bertha Loveberry, and Georgia Roseman. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Butler, Jr.; parents, Lucious and Louisa Davis; sister, Rosa Lee Frazier; brothers, Lucious Davis, Jr., Elijah Davis, and Willie Jean Davis, and grandson, Stanley Demetrius Butler. 

She was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS.
