Obituary

Kathy Melder, 58, of north Mississippi and formerly of north Louisiana, passed away April 23, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Racheal House (Jerad) of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Paul Melder, Jr. (Tina) of Pensacola, FL and Alex Melder (Julie) of Senatobia, MS; sisters, Jan, Patty, Tonya Gaye, and Connie and grandchildren, Lilly, Garrett, Shane, Jace, Eli, Elizabeth, Ally, Brycen, Aspyn and Addalyn. She was preceded in death by mother, Carolyn Clifton and father, John Ward.

Kathy was a homemaker that provided a beautiful loving home. The nest she formed for her family always nurtured hard work, creativity, independence, and fostered love and kindness. Her presence and voice alone would bring about a sense of complete trust and allow everyone the chance to be vulnerable. This allowed her the opportunity to bring forth her willingness to always help. All of this combined showed her accomplishment in how close knit a family she created. As a grandmother she was always the biggest advocate of laughing, fun, and mischief. Living in the moment and remembering life’s sweet gifts were always a virtue she passed on to all generations.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, April 28, at 7278 Crape Myrtle Dr. in Olive Branch, MS.
