Kristen Lynn Goyette, 41, of Independence, MS went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She graduated from Delta State University with a degree in Social Work. Kristen was a substitute teacher at Independence High School and loved the children she taught. She volunteered at Hearts and Hands Ministry and Karios Prison Ministry for many years. Above all, Kristen was an awesome mom to her son whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her son, Weslynn Grant Goyette; her loving parents, Terry and Mary Helen Stanford; and numerous friends and family. Kristen will be missed by all who loved her.
