Lelia Charlene Skelton, 75, of Coldwater, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by her grandsons and daughters January 20, 2023, at Baptist Memphis Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Clay (Robert) of AR and Jil McKellar (Walt) of Senatobia; sister, Sharon Smith (Jackie) of TX; brother, Charley Benson (Rita) of AR; grandsons, Baylor May (Leshonda), Canan McKellar, Cade McKellar, and Gray McKellar and great grandchildren, Rhemi, and Lawson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Skelton; parents, Roger Benson and Irene Benson Griffith, birth mother, Lelia Charlene Benson; sister, Debbie Jenkins; brothers, Roger Benson and Steve Benson and grandson, Garett May. Charlene loved more than anything to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and caring for her animals. Memorials may be sent to Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter.
