Martha Frances Hardison Dixon, 66, of Senatobia, MS passed away peacefully January 11, 2023. She was born on April 11, 1956 to Gene and Martha Hardison. Martha was a proud member of one of the first graduating classes of Magnolia Heights School. She loved her alma mater and was a lifelong supporter of the school. While attending Magnolia Heights, she earned the name “Monk” for her defensive prowess on the basketball court and amongst her best friends. That name stuck with her throughout her life with many of her friends still calling her “Monk”.
Martha went on to attend the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. After graduating, she continued to support both the Tri Delta Sorority and the University with her time and resources. She served as a University of Mississippi Alumni Board Member and as an active Tri Delta Alumnus. She was also a part of the Magnolia Heights Booster Club.
Martha had many hobbies and interests in life. She enjoyed snow skiing, playing tennis and was a member of the Garden Club. She loved tailgating at Ole Miss for football and baseball games. Her favorite activity in the world was watching her sons play baseball, basketball, football and golf. She was truly the greatest mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Martha leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Gregg L. Dixon of Senatobia, MS; sons, Kyle Dixon (Sarah) of Senatobia, MS and Trent Dixon (Savannah Neri) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Ella Claire Dixon and Mary Hendrix Dixon; niece, Laura Ogg of Hernando, MS and nephew, Matthew Hardison of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Peete and Bruce Hardison.
