Mildred Ann Brown went to be with the Lord on 11 Jul 2025. Millie was born on 10 Aug 1945 in Tempe, AZ to Joel Austin Allen, Sr. and Mae Houzlow Allen. The family settled in Oakland, MS where they operated a small dairy and cotton farm. After graduating from Oakland High School, Millie moved in with her sister and brother-in-law, Sybol and Gerald Ingram in California. While working as assistant credit manager at Spaulding Sporting Goods, she met the love of her life, Roger. They were married on 11 March 1967 and were together until his passing in 2021, 54 years. During that time Millie was a homemaker taking care of Lane and her two sons, Jeff and Chad. Roger’s job eventually led them to Senatobia where they lived for over 30 years. During that time, she was an active member of Solid Rock Assembly of God. After the birth of her first two grandchildren in 2008 she assumed the title of Mimi and answered proudly whenever any of the girls needed a sweet treat from the kitchen. Mimi was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016 but cared for Roger and the grandkids as much as she was able until Roger’s passing in 2021. She then moved to Wesley Meadows where she remained until her passing. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Brown (Anna) and Chad Brown; sister Sybol L. Ingram; brothers, Gene H. Allen, Vernon M. Allen; grandchildren, Piper Brown, Hayden Brown, Bayley Brown, Claire Brown, Belinda Brown, Bethany Mae Brown. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen V. Jones and Mary Kathryn Blanchard; brothers, Joel Austin Allen, Jr., Robert H. Allen, and James Wallace Allen.
