Paul Joseph Pecou Obituary

Paul Joseph Pecou, 75, of Sardis, MS passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at his residence. He was a member of East Tate Baptist Church and formerly, of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran having served in the Army and Air Force. Paul loved the Lord and was a passionate missionary. He volunteered his time in New Jersey where he worked as a mechanical engineer. Paul worked to get a boat running, which aided in the mission work there. He also spent time volunteering for a charity in Duck Hill, MS and was a member of The Christian Motorcycle Association. Paul was an avid fisherman and hunter. He could fix anything, especially small motors such as lawnmowers. Paul loved going out to eat with his family. He also enjoyed watching Alabama football just to aggravate his children! Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Juanita Pecou of Sardis, MS; daughters, Lisa Adams (David) of Alabama and Lisa Cole of Sardis, MS; sons, Paul Pecou of Greenville, MS, Kenneth Madden (Victoria) of Alabama, and Dusty Madden (Lisa) of Oregon; sisters, Judy Alsup, Stella Cope, and Teresa Pecou all of Louisiana; brother, Louis Pecou; special nephew, Raymond Alsup of Louisiana and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helen Pecou; daughter, Brandi Madden; son, Kenny Pecou, and brother, Norman Pecou. In addition to florals, memorials may be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project or East Tate Baptist Church.
