Raymond Cecil Thompson, Sr., 76, of Sardis, MS passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025. First and foremost, Raymond was a family man. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Raymond was a practical jokester and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. He also loved the mountains and looking at the fall colors. Raymond liked going on long scenic drives. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Thompson; daughters, Nikki Thompson Massey (Craig) and Leigh Ann Thompson Carl (Jeff); son, Raymond “Ray” Thompson, Jr. (Sarah); stepdaughter, Angela Newby (Alan); stepsons, Rodger Jordan, and Nick McGreger (Chelsea); sister, Glenda Gookin; brother, Kenneth Thompson (Renee); grandchildren, Ali-Grace Runyon (Zach), Cameron Massey (Ali), and Trey Thompson; 6 step grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn A. Thompson; stepson, Nathan McGreger; parents, Elmo and Velma Thompson, and sister, Dorothy Hagwood.
