Ruthie Nell Cotter, 76, of Coldwater, MS passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at her residence. She is survived by her husband, John Cotter, Jr. of Coldwater, MS; daughter, Diana Taylor (Steve) of Senatobia, MS; sons, James Cotter (Brenda) of Tucson, AZ, Waylon Cotter (Cony) of Colorado, and J.W. Cotter (Jessica) of Long Beach, MS; sisters, Peggy Myers of Moore, OK, Brenda Dees of Oklahoma City, OK, and Emily Woofter (Dan) of Williston, TN; brothers, Jimmy Claunch of Okland, TN, J.C. Claunch (Nettie) of Tucson, AZ, and Virgie Claunch (Linda) of Okland, TN; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nettie Claunch, and Johnie and Winnie Bobbitt; sisters, Joy Bernice Claunch and Hazel Yvonne Claunch, and brothers, Gene Claunch and James Claunch. Ruthie was a member of The Eastern Star. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
