Scott Richey Obituary

Scott Richey, 61, of Senatobia, MS passed away February 9, 2024. Scott was a member of First Baptist Church Senatobia and served as a deacon. He worked for 38 years in conservation for the state of Mississippi for USDA-NRCS, with 29 of those years being in charge of carrying out conservation programs in Tate County. Scott loved to squirrel hunt, play golf and spend time with his family, especially his granddaughter.


Scott is survived by his wife, Melissa Richey; sons, Cody Richey of Hernando, MS and Lance Richey of Oxford, MS; parents, Hoyt and Johnnie Richey of Senatobia, MS; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Barbara Filgo of Tupelo, MS; and granddaughter, Oaklyn Richey.
