William "Bill" R. Thomas

William “Bill” R. Thomas, Sr., 73, of Senatobia, MS passed away at his home on April 25, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Thomas; daughters, Maria Thomas (Jeff) of Coldwater and Missy Thomas (Brian) of ND; sons, Tony Smith (Michelle) of Sardis, Wayne Smith (Vickie) of Looxahoma, Mike Smith (Diane) of Looxahoma and Bubba Thomas; sister, Gail Vanover (Alan) of Strayhorn; brothers, Phillip Thomas (Linda) of TN, Steve Thomas of OK and Jody Thomas (Virginia) of Strayhorn; 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Lougenia Thomas.

Memorials may be sent to Hunters Chapel Church in Sarah, MS where he was a member. Bill was an avid FISHERMAN. He also loved gardening, camping, dancing with his wife, playing the dobro guitar, listening to old gospel and country music and any chance he got to fellowship with his customers. Bill and Elizabeth owned and operated Five Star Carpets in Senatobia for over 20 years. In his earlier years, he helped work beef cattle with his family and lay floors for his own business. Bill was an ever-present part of his community and loved his family dearly.
